Great War Dundee

During The Great War of 1914-18 Dundee lost around 30,490 men. Hardly a family in the city was left unaffected by the terrible losses.

The Great War Dundee site’s primary function is to provide a digital version of the city’s paper based roll of honour. The site is part of a wider programme of activity to commemorate the Great War.

Young people have very little association with the Great War whereas older people may still have a small physical connection to WW1 through the memory of relatives such as parents or grandparents. In response the site was designed to be both respectful and of interest to young and old alike with content to suit all ages.
