Established in Perthshire in 1899, Bell Ingram is one of the UK’s largest firms of independent land agents providing an extensive range of specialist services to land owners. Alongside the original business Bell Ingram also offers a full estate agency service extending to commercial and private clients.
The challenge with the project was to provide an equitable representation to each of the business activities whilst also responding to the site user numbers which are biased towards property searches. This lead to a natural 50/50 split to the home page whereby the top of the home page serves the estate agency enquiries and the bottom half provides clear signposting to all rural business services.
Using the same technology that feeds the national property sales portals, the estate agency content is drawn into the site on a twice daily BLM file feed from Bell Ingram’s property sales management system. Prior to this the property content on the site was the primary data source and it was our responsibility to push data to the national portals. Consequently we are able to offer either method of data management to other small or large estate agencies.
